Cell Lab Ultrasonic Spot Welding Machine [Cathode & Anode Welding | 40 kHz Ultrasonic Battery Tab Welder | Compact R&D System]

High-precision ultrasonic welding system for cathode and anode tab connection in laboratory battery assembly

The Cell Lab Ultrasonic Spot Welding Machine is designed for accurate, repeatable welding of aluminium and copper-nickel tabs to battery electrodes in both cylindrical and pouch-cell fabrication. Operating at 40 kHz with an 800 W ultrasonic output, it ensures clean, uniform welds with minimal heat impact—ideal for sensitive lithium-ion and solid-state cell R&D. Compact, durable, and highly configurable, it supports up to 15 electrode layers for laboratory and pilot-scale manufacturing environments.

Key Features

  • Versatile Welding Capability: Suitable for both cathode (Al) and anode (Cu/Ni) tab welding applications.

  • High-Frequency Ultrasonic Energy: 40 kHz frequency produces consistent, contamination-free joints.

  • Compact Multi-Layer Support: Handles pouch-cell electrodes up to 15 stacked layers within a 3 × 25 mm weld zone.

  • Adjustable Welding Parameters: Pressure, energy, and time can be fine-tuned to match foil and tab materials.

  • Robust & Reliable Design: Delivers stable operation under continuous laboratory use with minimal maintenance.

FAQ

Q1: What cell types can this welder support?
It is compatible with both pouch and cylindrical cell formats.

Q2: How many electrode layers can it weld?
Up to 15 layers, depending on foil and tab thickness.

Q3: Can welding parameters be adjusted?
Yes — pressure, time, and ultrasonic power are all programmable for different material combinations.

Q4: Is the system glovebox-compatible?
Yes. The compact design allows installation inside standard inert-gas gloveboxes.

Q5: What’s the expected weld strength?
Typical tensile strength ≥ 4 N, ensuring reliable electrical and mechanical connection.
