General Description

Cell Lab ultra-thin lithium foil (5 µm thickness, 80 mm width) is specifically designed for uniform pre-lithiation of battery electrodes. The porous structure allows improved electrolyte infiltration and faster lithiation, making it highly effective for silicon-based and other high-capacity electrodes.

Pre-lithiation is a well-established method to boost electrode capacity, enhance first-cycle efficiency, and extend cycling performance. Unlike lithium powder, continuous porous foil enables uniform lithiation and roll-to-roll processing, supporting safe, simple, and scalable application in both laboratory and industrial battery research.

⚠️ Handling Notice: Lithium is extremely reactive in air. Packages must never be opened outside of an inert Argon-filled glove box (moisture < 2% RH).

Porous foil ensures uniform contact and electrolyte penetration, while powders can be inconsistent and difficult to handle.

Q3: Is this foil suitable for silicon nanowire anodes?
Yes. Research led by Prof. Yi Cui (Stanford) demonstrated that pre-lithiation with lithium foil greatly improves the capacity of Si nanowire electrodes.

Q4: How should it be handled during transfer?
Due to its ultra-thin thickness, detaching from the protective film can be challenging. A rolling mill is recommended for safe transfer.

Yes. Classified as hazardous material (HAZMAT), requiring compliant packaging and regulated shipping.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
