Cell Lab SUPER C45 Carbon Black [50 g, Conductive Additive for Cathode & Anode]

Ultra-pure conductive carbon black for enhanced electrode conductivity and slurry stability

The Cell Lab SUPER C45 Carbon Black is a premium conductive additive engineered for lithium-ion battery cathode and anode formulations.
As an upgraded version of the renowned SUPER P, it features ultra-low metallic impurity levels, fine particle size, and exceptional dispersion characteristics, enabling both high-power and high-energy-density cell designs.

Its balanced structure provides an excellent percolation network within electrode slurries, resulting in reduced internal resistance, improved cycling stability, and greater overall conductivity.
Each batch is vacuum-sealed to preserve purity and shipped in air-tight containers for laboratory or pilot-scale use.

Key Features

Ultra-High Purity Carbon Black
Iron content ≤ 2 ppm; total metallic impurities < 1 ppm – fully compliant with battery-grade purity standards.

Optimised Particle Morphology
BET surface area ≈ 45 m²/g and fine particle size (100–200 nm) ensure uniform slurry dispersion and low percolation threshold.

Superior Electrochemical Compatibility
Fully compatible with common electrolytes (LiPF₆, LiTFSI, NaPF₆) and polymer binders without dispersing agents.

Improved Battery Performance
Enhances electronic conductivity, energy density, rate capability, and long-term cycling stability.

Ready for Slurry Integration
Pre-bake at 150–200 °C before mixing to eliminate residual moisture and optimise electrode homogeneity.

FAQ

Q1: How does SUPER C45 differ from SUPER P?
SUPER C45 has lower metallic impurity levels and finer particle distribution, offering improved conductivity and dispersion.

Q2: Is this carbon black suitable for both cathodes and anodes?
Yes. It performs effectively with NMC, LFP, LCO, graphite, and silicon-carbon composite systems.

Q3: Does it require a dispersing agent?
No. Its high surface energy enables excellent dispersion in PVDF/NMP and water-based systems without additives.

Q4: What pre-treatment is recommended?
Pre-bake the powder at 150–200 °C to remove moisture prior to slurry mixing.

Q5: Can it be supplied in larger quantities?
Yes. Bulk packaging from 500 g to 5 kg is available for pilot or industrial use.
