High-precision 316 stainless steel spacers for enhanced durability and electrochemical stability
The Cell Lab Stainless Steel Spacer is a high-quality component designed to improve the mechanical precision and electrochemical reliability of CR-series coin cell assembly. Made from 316-grade stainless steel (316SS), these spacers offer superior corrosion resistance compared with conventional 304SS, making them ideal for experiments involving moisture-sensitive, acidic, or high-voltage chemistries.
Engineered to fit CR2016, CR2025, and CR2032 cell formats, these spacers ensure consistent internal pressure distribution and optimal electrical contact. Each batch is precision-machined, vacuum-sealed, and packaged in sets of 100 for convenient laboratory use and pilot-scale battery prototyping.
316 Stainless Steel Construction
Enhanced corrosion resistance ensures stable electrochemical performance in aggressive chemical environments.
Precision Fit for CR Coin Cells
Designed for CR2016, CR2025, and CR2032 cell formats with tight dimensional tolerances.
Standardised Dimensions
15.8 mm diameter and 0.5 mm thickness for reliable stacking and consistent contact pressure.
Durable & Long-Lasting
Excellent mechanical strength and reusability reduce experimental variability and long-term costs.
Custom Branding Available
Optional logo engraving and bulk order labelling available upon request for institutional or OEM use.

Q1: Why use 316SS instead of 304SS spacers?
316SS provides better corrosion resistance, especially in electrolyte-rich or moisture-sensitive systems.
Q2: Are these compatible with standard CR2032 coin cell kits?
Yes. They fit seamlessly with standard coin cell hardware and spring configurations.
Q3: Do the spacers affect internal resistance?
No. They maintain consistent conductivity and mechanical pressure without altering cell impedance.
Q4: Can I order spacers with custom dimensions or branding?
Yes. Cell Lab offers custom diameters, thicknesses, and engraved logos for OEM and research partners.
Q5: Do I need springs for coin cell assembly?
Yes. Springs are typically used alongside spacers to ensure even electrode pressure.
