The Cell Lab Stainless Steel Coin Cell Cases are engineered for reliable and reproducible coin cell assembly, offering high dimensional accuracy and corrosion resistance for advanced battery R&D. Manufactured from 304 or 316 stainless steel, these cases include both anode and cathode housings with polypropylene ( PP ) sealing gaskets, ensuring tight sealing and consistent electrochemical performance.
Compatible with CR2016, CR2025, and CR2032 formats, each case meets IEC 60086 standards and is fully compatible with common coin-cell crimpers. These housings are ideal for half-cell testing, electrode evaluation, and coin-cell prototyping.
Versatile Format Options
Available in CR2016, CR2025, and CR2032 sizes to support different electrode loadings and separator thicknesses.
Material Selection for Every Need
Choose 304SS for standard corrosion resistance or 316SS for superior chemical durability in aggressive electrolyte systems.
Battery-Grade Precision Machining
Each component is CNC-fabricated to tight tolerances for consistent fit and leak-free performance during cycling.
Reliable Sealing Performance
Polypropylene ( PP ) gaskets ensure excellent electrolyte containment and thermal stability under vacuum crimping.
Standardised Compatibility
Fully interchangeable with most commercial coin-cell fixtures and assemblers used in academic and industrial labs.

Corrosion and electrolyte compatibility studies
Q1: What is the difference between 304 SS and 316 SS models?
316 SS contains molybdenum for enhanced corrosion resistance in acidic or salt-rich environments.
Q2: Are these cases compatible with standard crimpers?
Yes, they fit most commercial CR-series coin cell assemblers and sealers.
Q3: Do the cases include gaskets?
Yes, each case comes with polypropylene ( PP ) sealing gaskets pre-installed.
Q4: Can I order custom quantities or sizes?
Yes, Cell Lab offers custom pack sizes and special dimensions on request for bulk or institutional use.
Q5: What applications require 316 SS instead of 304 SS?
Use 316 SS when working with corrosive electrolytes (e.g., Na-ion systems or strong acidic media).
