Cell Lab Square & Rectangular Dry Pellet Pressing Die Sets [3×3 mm – 60×60 mm]

Precision-engineered stainless steel and alloy steel dies for cuboid pellet preparation

General Description

Cell Lab Square & Rectangular Dry Pellet Pressing Die Sets are designed for compressing powders into cuboid-shaped pellets with precise dimensions. Constructed from 440C stainless steel, and hardened to HRC60–62, these dies ensure high strength, wear resistance, and consistent performance under repeated high-pressure use.

Typical applications include infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) pellet preparation, powder metallurgy, ceramic compaction, and pharmaceutical formulation testing. With cavity sizes ranging from 3×3 mm to 60×60 mm, this series covers both micro-sample and large-volume pellet requirements.

Key Features

  1. Square & rectangular formats — Available from 3×3 mm to 60×60 mm.

  2. High-hardness materials — Made from 440C stainless steel.

  3. Reliable powder compaction — Suitable for ceramics, minerals, metals, and pharmaceutical powders.

  4. Laboratory & industrial use — For FTIR, XRF, powder metallurgy, ceramics, and drug formulation.

  5. Customisable sizes — Non-standard square or rectangular cavities available upon request.

Applications & Industries

  • Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) — Preparation of KBr and halide pellets.

  • Powder metallurgy — Compaction of metallic powders into cuboid form.

  • Ceramics & composites — Square and rectangular compacts for testing and analysis.

  • Pharmaceuticals — Solid drug formulation and QC testing.

  • Minerals & geology — Reliable preparation of cuboid samples for analytical characterisation.

FAQ

Q1: What is the advantage of square or rectangular pellets?
They provide consistent geometry and higher packing efficiency for analytical and industrial applications.

Q2: What materials can be pressed?
Ceramics, minerals, metallic powders, halide salts, and pharmaceutical formulations.

Q3: What is the maximum size available in this series?
Standard sizes go up to 60×60 mm, but custom cavities (up to 200 mm) are available on request.

Q4: How should these dies be maintained?
Clean after each use, keep dry, and apply oil during long-term storage to prevent rust.

Q5: Are these dies consumables?
Yes. They are considered consumables. Warranty only covers manufacturing defects.
