Non-stick, low-contamination jars for roller ball mills
The Cell Lab PTFE (Teflon) Roller Mill Grinding Jars are designed for efficient powder milling, blending, and mixing in roller ball mills.
Made entirely from chemically inert PTFE, these jars ensure non-stick performance, excellent corrosion resistance, and minimal cross-contamination.
Each jar comes as a complete set including a lid, silicone sealing gasket, spacer, and clamp, providing a secure, leak-proof design suitable for both dry and wet milling applications.
With volumes from 0.5L to 10L, this range supports laboratory and pilot-scale powder processing where purity and resistance to acids or solvents are essential.
Non-stick PTFE construction – prevents sample adhesion and ensures easy cleaning after use.
Secure, anti-leak design – includes lid, sealing gasket, spacer, and clamp for reliable sealing during rotation.
Excellent chemical resistance – inert to most acids, alkalis, and organic solvents.
Versatile application range – ideal for powder mixing, blending, and grinding in chemical, materials, and life science laboratories.
Complete jar sets – all jars supplied with necessary accessories; grinding media sold separately.

Cell Lab PTFE roller mill jars are ideal for:
Battery materials R&D – powder homogenisation and mixing of cathode/anode materials
Chemical synthesis – grinding of corrosive or reactive compounds
Ceramics and catalyst preparation – processing of oxides and fine powders
Environmental and biological research – handling contamination-sensitive materials
Pharmaceutical and food technology – mixing ingredients requiring chemical purity
Q1: Can PTFE jars be used for both wet and dry milling?
A: Yes. The included silicone gasket provides excellent sealing for both wet and dry rolling operations.
Q2: Are PTFE jars resistant to strong acids or solvents?
A: Absolutely. PTFE is resistant to nearly all corrosive agents including acids, alkalis, and most organic solvents.
Q3: What grinding media are recommended?
A: Use zirconia or alumina balls to ensure low contamination; metal media are not recommended for high-purity applications.
Q4: How do I clean PTFE jars?
A: Simply wash with ethanol or deionised water and wipe dry. Avoid sharp tools or abrasive brushes to maintain the smooth interior.
Q5: What makes PTFE superior for contamination control?
A: PTFE’s chemically inert and non-stick surface prevents sample adsorption and cross-contamination, ensuring reliable reproducibility in precision milling.
