The Cell Lab Precision Disc Cutter is a manual disc punching system designed for the precise preparation of circular electrode and separator films used in coin cell battery fabrication. Built from chrome-plated steel and equipped with high-precision sliding rails and ball bearings, it ensures smooth, repeatable cutting performance for metal foils (≤ 0.5 mm) and separator films (≤ 30 µm).
Compact and glove-box compatible, this tool is widely used in battery R&D laboratories, materials science research, and TEM sample preparation. Three standard die sizes (16 mm, 19 mm, 20 mm) are included, matching CR2016, CR2025, and CR2032 formats. Optional dies up to 24 mm are available upon request.
Compact & Lightweight Design
Ergonomic, portable structure ideal for benchtop or glove-box environments.
High-Accuracy Punching System
Precision sliding rails ensure clean, uniform disc cutting with minimal burrs.
Multi-Material Compatibility
Cuts both metallic electrodes and separator films with high reproducibility.
Durable Chrome-Plated Frame
Corrosion-resistant construction ensures long service life and easy maintenance.
Customisable Die Sizes
Includes 16 mm, 19 mm, and 20 mm dies; additional options up to 24 mm available.

Q1: What coin cell formats are compatible with this cutter?
It supports standard CR2016, CR2025, and CR2032 cells; custom dies for other sizes are optional.
Q2: Can it be used inside a glove box?
Yes. The compact design allows operation inside argon-filled glove boxes for inert material handling.
Q3: How often should dies be replaced?
With proper cleaning and maintenance, die sets last for thousands of punches.
Q4: Can it cut ceramic-coated separators?
Yes, provided thickness remains below 30 µm for smooth cutting.
Q5: Are replacement dies available separately?
Yes, additional die sets (3 mm – 24 mm) are available upon request.
