The Cell Lab Porous Carbon Foam is a lightweight, electrically conductive, and highly porous carbon substrate designed for advanced energy, catalysis, and thermal management research. Featuring excellent gas and fluid permeability, low electrical resistivity, and outstanding thermal stability, this foam is ideal for battery electrodes, supercapacitors, catalytic supports, and heat-dissipating components.
Its micro-porous 3D network ensures large active surface area and efficient mass transport, enabling enhanced reaction kinetics and uniform current distribution in electrochemical devices. The foam is also widely used in water purification, chemical absorption, and reactor engineering. Custom thicknesses and dimensions are available to meet specific research requirements.

Yes. It can be trimmed or machined using standard cutting tools for precise integration into test systems.
Q2: Is the foam chemically stable in acidic or basic environments?
Yes. It demonstrates excellent chemical stability, but prolonged exposure to strong oxidisers should be avoided.
Q3: Can this foam be used as a battery current collector?
Yes. Its high conductivity and thermal stability make it suitable as an electrode substrate or current collector.
Q4: What is the typical lifespan in electrochemical use?
Under normal laboratory cycling, it maintains structural and conductive integrity for hundreds of cycles.
Q5: Are custom shapes or multi-layer assemblies available?
Yes. Cell Lab offers tailored dimensions, multi-layer laminations, and composite configurations upon request.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
