Durable, Cost-Effective PU Jars for Roller Ball Mill Grinding Applications
The Cell Lab Polyurethane Roller Mill Grinding Jars offer abrasion resistance, low contamination risk, and chemical stability—ideal for medium-hard or caustic samples in R&D laboratories, especially in the UK, EU & US. Available in sizes from 0.5 L to 20 L, they feature anti-leak design, thick wall structures, and lid/gasket or clamp attachments. Optimised for roller ball mills where stainless steel or zirconia media are desired but metal jar contamination is a concern.
Material: Polyurethane (PU), which provides low metal contamination, flexibility, and chemical tolerance.
Size range: from 0.5 L to 20 L, supporting both small lab batches and larger pilot scale work.
Leak-resistant: screw or clamp lids with silicon or gasket sealing.
Thick wall design for durability and long service life.
Suitable for caustic/abrasive samples, compatible with stainless steel or zirconia grinding balls.

Used in lab / pilot-scale settings for abrasive or caustic samples where metal jar contamination is undesirable, such as:
Battery & electronics R&D – polymer separator materials, electrode mixes
Pigment production & ceramics – oxide particles, colorants
Chemical labs – catalysts, abrasives
Material science – composites, coatings
Q1: Can polyurethane jars handle wet milling?
A: Yes, Polyurethane jars with solid sealing lids/clamps are used for both wet and dry roller milling, especially for non-metallic or abrasive applications.
Q2: How to choose the correct jar size?
A: Pick jar volume that matches the roller mill holder and machine configuration. Aim for ≤ 2⁄3 of jar volume loaded (media + sample) for optimal performance.
Q3: Is PU material chemically stable?
A: PU is resistant to many caustic / abrasive conditions, though for strong acids or oxidisers, stainless steel or zirconia jars may be preferred.
