Cell Lab polyurethane planetary milling jars are ideal for:
Battery material processing – grinding and mixing of cathode/anode materials
Ceramic and pigment production – fine powder dispersion of oxides and additives
Metallurgical and chemical engineering – homogenising reactive or abrasive materials
Environmental testing – soil and sludge sample preparation
Construction materials research – grinding of cementitious and composite powders
Q1: What advantages do PU jars offer over stainless steel or nylon jars?
A: PU jars are lighter, provide excellent abrasion resistance, and reduce contamination when working with reactive or caustic samples.
Q2: Are these jars suitable for wet milling?
A: Yes. PU jars with rubber gaskets provide reliable sealing for both wet and dry milling conditions.
Q3: How do stainless steel sleeves improve performance?
A: The sleeves enhance structural rigidity and extend the jar’s lifespan, especially under high-speed or high-impact milling conditions.
Q4: Which grinding media are recommended?
A: Stainless steel balls are recommended for optimal compatibility; other media may be used depending on hardness and contamination requirements.
Q5: How should I maintain PU jars for longevity?
A: Clean promptly after milling with mild detergent, avoid prolonged contact with strong solvents, and inspect gaskets regularly for wear or deformation.
