The Cell Lab NMC532 Coated Aluminium Foil is a ready-to-use cathode substrate designed for lithium-ion battery and electric vehicle (EV) research. Coated with LiNi₀.₅Mn₀.₃Co₀.₂O₂ (NMC532) on high-purity aluminium foil, it provides excellent electrochemical stability, energy density, and reduced cobalt content compared to conventional LiCoO₂ electrodes.
Each sheet is single-side coated and optimised for consistent performance in coin cell and pouch cell assembly. With a specific capacity of 160 mAh/g, and active material loading of 95.5%, this material delivers strong power retention, long cycle life, and enhanced safety for advanced lithium-ion systems.
Ideal for use in automotive battery R&D, stationary energy storage, and academic research, these pre-coated foils streamline electrode preparation and reduce laboratory workload.

Q1: Can this foil be used directly for coin cell assembly?
Yes. Each sheet is ready for immediate use after vacuum drying to remove residual moisture.
Q2: Is double-sided coating available?
Yes. Dual-sided NMC532 coated foils can be customised upon request.
Q3: What type of electrolyte is compatible?
Compatible with standard lithium-ion electrolytes such as 1 M LiPF₆ in EC/DMC or EC/DEC.
Q4: What is the expected voltage range?
Typically 2.8–4.3 V vs. Li/Li⁺ depending on electrolyte and separator configuration.
Q5: How should the sheets be stored?
Store in an inert, moisture-free environment (e.g., argon glove box) to maintain electrode integrity.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
