Precision Alloy for Thin-Film Resistors and Electronic Applications
Cell Lab Nickel/Chromium (Ni/Cr 80/20 wt.%) Pellets are advanced evaporation materials designed for thin-film deposition, resistor production, and microelectronic manufacturing. The Ni–Cr alloy system is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, stable electrical resistivity, and low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) — making it ideal for integrated circuits, strain gauges, and sensor fabrication.
Evaporated Ni20Cr coatings exhibit outstanding thermal stability and oxidation resistance, ensuring film uniformity and performance reliability in demanding electronic environments.
Optimised Alloy Composition (Ni/Cr 80/20 wt.%) – Achieves a balanced combination of resistivity, stability, and corrosion protection.
Low Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR) – Ensures minimal resistance variation across wide temperature ranges.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance – Ideal for long-term performance in thin-film and sensor environments.
Superior Film Uniformity – Produces stable, adherent, and oxidation-resistant coatings.
Customisable Specifications – Composition, dimensions, and packaging can be tailored upon request.

Q1: Why is Ni/Cr 80/20 composition preferred for resistor coatings?
It provides an optimal balance of resistivity, temperature stability, and corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term performance stability.
Q2: Can NiCr films be patterned for microelectronics?
Yes. NiCr thin films can be photolithographically patterned for integrated resistor networks and sensor arrays.
Q3: What deposition methods are suitable for NiCr alloys?
Both E-beam evaporation and thermal evaporation methods are compatible, depending on equipment configuration.
Q4: Is the material magnetic?
The Ni80Cr20 alloy is essentially non-magnetic, suitable for electronic components where magnetic interference must be avoided.
