Cell Lab Natural Agate Grinding Ball Set [High Purity | For Planetary Mill Jars]

High-purity agate grinding media for precise, contamination-free milling

The Cell Lab™ Natural Agate Grinding Ball Set is crafted from premium Brazilian agate to deliver exceptional purity, hardness, and chemical inertness. Ideal for wet or dry grinding of powders and slurries in planetary ball mills, it ensures uniform particle size reduction with minimal abrasion or contamination—making it perfect for battery research, ceramics, metal oxides, and advanced material preparation.

Key Features

• Natural Brazilian Agate Composition
High-purity agate offers excellent hardness and wear resistance while maintaining chemical neutrality, preventing cross-contamination during milling.

• Optimised for Planetary Ball Mills
Perfectly matched for Cell Lab agate, zirconia, alumina, and other jar materials to ensure efficient energy transfer and balanced mixing.

• Precision Polished Spherical Shape
Polished to a smooth finish for consistent kinetic energy distribution and reduced friction loss in both wet and dry milling operations.

• Uniform Density and Hardness
With a density of 2.65 g/cm³, these balls provide stable impact and grinding efficiency across long operating cycles.

• Contamination-Free Performance
Ideal for high-purity applications in battery materials, semiconductors, geological samples, and chemical synthesis labs.

FAQ

Q1: Why choose agate grinding media over zirconia or alumina?
A1: Agate offers superior chemical inertness and is ideal for avoiding metal ion contamination during fine milling.

Q2: Can these balls be used for both wet and dry grinding?
A2: Yes, they perform efficiently in either condition, delivering consistent particle reduction without material loss.

Q3: Are the sets customisable for different jar volumes?
A3: Yes — custom ball size combinations and weights can be produced to match specific jar capacities.

Q4: What is the expected lifespan of agate media?
A4: With proper use and cleaning, agate balls can withstand thousands of grinding cycles without cracking or surface abrasion.

Q5: Can these balls be used with other jar materials?
A5: Yes — they are fully compatible with agate, zirconia, alumina, and stainless-steel jars.
