The Cell Lab Lithium Fluoride (LiF) granules are a 5N (99.999%) ultra-high-purity fluoride material designed for demanding research and industrial applications. With extremely low trace-metal content, excellent chemical and thermal stability, and superior UV transparency, this LiF is ideal for solid-state electrolytes, vacuum deposition sources, and optical coatings.
Its consistent granule size (< 10 mm) ensures uniform evaporation rates and film quality in high-vacuum systems, making it suitable for precision thin-film deposition, advanced ceramics, and optoelectronic component manufacturing.
5N High Purity (99.999%)
Ultra-low trace metal contamination verified by GDMS analysis, guaranteeing high performance in sensitive electronic and optical processes.
Exceptional Thermal and Chemical Stability
High melting point (845 °C) and strong resistance to most acids and solvents (except HF) for robust operation under vacuum or reactive conditions.
Versatile Scientific Applications
Suitable for Li-ion battery research, optical crystal fabrication, ceramic engineering, and vacuum evaporation.
Uniform Granule Distribution
Fine granules (< 10 mm) enable consistent heating and controlled coating thickness in thin-film deposition systems.
Multiple Pack Sizes Available

Q1: Is this LiF suitable for vacuum evaporation and PVD coatings?
Yes, its granule size and purity make it ideal for evaporation sources in PVD and thermal deposition systems.
Q2: Can it be used for solid-state electrolyte fabrication?
Yes. Its 5N purity and thermal stability are compatible with Li₃PS₄, LLZO, and LiPON research.
Q3: What is the difference between LiF powder and granules?
Granules offer better flowability and more uniform evaporation rates for vacuum processes.
Q4: Is LiF toxic or reactive in air?
LiF is stable and non-hygroscopic under normal conditions but should be handled in dry environments to avoid hydrolysis.
Q5: Are custom purities or particle sizes available?
Yes. Cell Lab can provide customised purity levels and granule distributions upon request.
