The Cell Lab LCP Composite Aluminium Foil is a next-generation current collector designed to enhance safety, reduce weight and improve energy density in advanced battery architectures. Featuring a multilayer configuration of Al 5 µm / LCP 4 µm / Al 5 µm, this foil integrates a Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) dielectric layer that prevents internal short circuits and provides near-infinite electrical resistance across the insulating barrier.
Its high-purity aluminium outer layers ensure excellent conductivity and bonding strength, while the LCP core adds exceptional thermal and mechanical stability. This composite foil is particularly suitable for lithium-ion battery R&D, pouch-cell development, and solid-state or flexible energy-storage systems requiring ultra-thin, lightweight current collectors.
