Cell Lab CR2016 Coin Cell Case with Kapton® Window [5 pcs, Stainless Steel, In-situ XRD Compatible] – Operando Coin Cell for Real-Time XRD Analysis

Precision coin cell case for in-situ X-ray diffraction during charge–discharge cycles

The Cell Lab CR2016 Coin Cell Case with Kapton® Window is a specialised analytical coin cell housing designed for in-situ and operando X-ray diffraction (XRD) characterisation of electrode phase evolution during electrochemical cycling. Constructed from 304-grade stainless steel, this case integrates a Kapton® X-ray-transparent window, allowing researchers to observe structural changes in real time.

Ideal for battery material R&D, phase transition studies, and operando synchrotron experiments, this precision-engineered case enables direct correlation between electrochemical performance and structural dynamics. Each set includes polypropylene O-rings for secure sealing and electrolyte containment.

Key Features

Kapton® Window for In-situ XRD Analysis
Enables real-time monitoring of electrode crystal structure and phase transitions during battery cycling.

Precision Stainless Steel Construction
Machined from 304 stainless steel for durability, vacuum compatibility, and reproducible assembly.

Reliable Sealing System
Polypropylene O-ring provides secure electrolyte containment for extended in-situ experiments.

Laboratory-Optimised Pack Size
Supplied in convenient sets of 5 pieces, ideal for multi-sample characterisation in R&D facilities.

Standard CR2016 Format
Compatible with common coin cell crimpers and glove box assembly systems used in research environments.

FAQ

Q1: What makes this case suitable for in-situ XRD?
The Kapton® window is X-ray transparent, enabling diffraction analysis while the cell is in operation.

Q2: Can this be used for synchrotron X-ray experiments?
Yes, the design and window thickness are compatible with synchrotron beamline XRD setups.

Q3: What battery chemistries can it support?
Suitable for Li-ion, Na-ion, Zn-ion, and other electrochemical systems using CR2016 coin cell geometry.

Q4: How should it be sealed?
Use the included PP O-ring to ensure electrolyte containment during cycling.

Q5: Can the window material be customised?
Yes. Alternative X-ray-transparent materials such as beryllium or thin quartz windows are available upon request.
