Cell Lab CR2016 Coin Cell Case with Dual-Side Kapton Windows [In-situ XRD Compatible] – Transparent Battery Housing for Real-Time Structural Analysis

Precision-engineered coin cell case for in-situ XRD characterisation during battery cycling

The Cell Lab CR2016 Coin Cell Case with Dual-Side Kapton Windows is specially designed for in-situ X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements, enabling real-time observation of electrode structural evolution during electrochemical cycling. This advanced design integrates Kapton film windows on both sides of a 304 stainless steel housing, allowing X-rays to penetrate the cell while maintaining a sealed electrochemical environment.

Each case includes a polypropylene (PP) O-ring gasket that ensures reliable air-tight sealing for reproducible laboratory performance. Ideal for academic and industrial R&D, it supports the study of phase transitions, lithium intercalation, and structural changes in various electrode materials without disturbing cell operation.

Key Features

Dual-Side Kapton Transparency
Both sides feature precision-cut Kapton film windows for comprehensive in-situ XRD measurement and data accuracy.

Reliable Sealing System
Equipped with a polypropylene O-ring to ensure leak-free performance under continuous cycling tests.

Standard CR2016 Compatibility
Fully compliant with CR2016 dimensional standards, enabling integration with standard battery testing equipment.

Robust Stainless Steel Construction
Crafted from 304 stainless steel for electrochemical stability, corrosion resistance, and long service life.

Versatile Analytical Application
Ideal for lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and conversion-type electrodes where real-time structural monitoring is required.

FAQ

Q1: What types of experiments can this case support?
It is primarily used for in-situ XRD studies during charge–discharge cycles, enabling structural phase observation.

Q2: Can it be used for non-lithium systems?
Yes. It supports sodium-ion, magnesium-ion, and zinc-ion electrode systems under standard testing protocols.

Q3: How is the Kapton window attached?
The Kapton film is precision-cut and securely bonded to the stainless steel housing to ensure sealing and X-ray transparency.

Q4: What is the temperature tolerance of the Kapton film?
It withstands up to 250 °C without mechanical deformation or loss of optical properties.

Q5: Are custom window diameters available?
Yes. Custom Kapton window sizes or single-side configurations can be manufactured upon request.
