High-Purity Nickel Wire for Vacuum Coating and Electronic Applications
Cell Lab 3N8 (99.98%) Nickel (Ni) Wire is a silvery-white, lustrous metal with a slight golden tint, engineered for vacuum evaporation, thin-film deposition, and surface coating applications. Nickel’s combination of ductility, corrosion resistance, and thermal stability makes it one of the most widely used materials in microelectronics, fuel cells, solar collectors, and battery research.
This high-purity Ni wire is also used in hydrogenation catalysis, rechargeable battery cathodes, and alloy coating to improve the corrosion resistance and adhesion of steel, aluminium, and magnesium alloys. Its smooth, uniform composition ensures clean, stable evaporation behaviour and superior coating adhesion.
High Purity (99.98%) – Ensures minimal contamination and stable electrical properties.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance – Ideal for protective coatings and electrode applications.
Superior Thermal and Electrical Conductivity – Enables efficient and uniform film deposition.
Versatile Industrial Uses – Suitable for decorative coatings, magnetic films, and solar collectors.
Customisable Dimensions – Available in various diameters and lengths for research or production use.

Q1: Can this nickel wire be used for electron-beam evaporation?
Yes, it is fully compatible with E-beam evaporation systems and maintains stable deposition rates with minimal spatter.
Q2: What are common substrates for Ni coatings?
Nickel coatings adhere well to steel, magnesium, and aluminium alloys, as well as ceramic and glass substrates.
Q3: Does the wire require pre-cleaning before use?
It is recommended to ultrasonically clean the wire in ethanol or acetone before loading into the vacuum chamber to ensure optimal purity.
Q4: Is custom diameter available for higher-current applications?
Yes. Cell Lab offers custom diameters (e.g. 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm) and lengths on request.
