High-purity stainless-steel substrate for advanced battery and thin-film research
The Cell Lab 316L Stainless Steel Foil is a precision-engineered substrate widely used in battery fabrication, thin-film deposition, and electrochemical research. With exceptional conductivity, tensile strength, and corrosion resistance, this high-purity 316L foil ensures reliable performance for electrode fabrication, energy-storage devices, and flexible electronics. Its uniform thickness and flatness make it an excellent base for coating, sputtering, and vacuum deposition applications.
High Dimensional Precision: Maintains uniform 0.1 mm thickness and flatness, ideal for film-coating and electrode deposition.
Superior Mechanical Strength: High tensile and yield strength ensure structural stability during processing.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance: Stable in harsh chemical environments (excluding HF), extending service life.
Customisable Dimensions: Available in various lengths, widths, and thicknesses tailored to research requirements.
Multi-Industry Use: Suitable for battery substrates, sensors, flexible electronics, and thin-film materials.

Q1: Is 316L foil suitable for battery electrodes?
Yes. Its smooth surface and high purity make it ideal for coating and deposition of battery electrode films.
Q2: Can the foil be customised in size or thickness?
Yes. Cell Lab offers tailored dimensions for specific research and pilot-production needs.
Q3: What is its resistance to chemical corrosion?
It is highly resistant to most acids and alkalis, excluding hydrofluoric acid (HF).
Q4: Is this material flexible enough for bending or rolling applications?
Yes. With > 8 % elongation, it maintains mechanical integrity under moderate forming.
Q5: What are its common use cases in research?
Electrode substrates, catalyst supports, thin-film deposition bases, and membrane backings.
