Lightweight benchtop pellet press for FTIR/XRF and materials research
The Cell Lab 2-Ton Mini Manual Pellet Press is a compact benchtop unit designed for pressing powders into solid pellets for FTIR, XRF, battery research, ceramics, metallurgy, and catalysis. With a maximum force of 2 metric tons (30 MPa), it provides stable and reliable performance for laboratories requiring efficient sample preparation in a small footprint.
Its manual operation makes it simple to use, easy to clean, and low-maintenance, while the compact structure and small volume ensure portability and glove box compatibility. For glove box use, periodic O-ring seal inspection is recommended to avoid oil leakage.
The unit is compatible with Cell Lab pellet pressing dies and can be integrated into workflows involving powder processing, spectroscopy, and energy storage research.
Compact and portable — Small volume design for benchtop or glove box applications.
2-ton force capacity — Maximum 2 metric tons (30 MPa), ideal for small-scale research samples.
Easy manual operation — Simple structure with fast compression and minimal maintenance.
Wide application scope — Suitable for FTIR, XRF, ceramics, battery electrodes, and catalysis.
Laboratory reliability — Stable pressure performance with <1 MPa loss per 10 minutes.
| Product No. | Pressure Range | Max Pressure | Piston Diameter | Stroke Distance | Pressure Stability | Sample Stage | Working Area | Dimensions (mm) | Net Weight | Power Supply |

FTIR/XRF spectroscopy — Pressing powders into pellets for accurate spectroscopic analysis.
Battery research — Electrode and solid-state material preparation.
Ceramics & metallurgy — Small-scale powder compaction for material testing.
Catalysis & chemistry — Porous catalyst sample pressing.
Educational labs — Cost-effective solution for teaching and training.
Q1: What is the maximum pressure this press can achieve?
Up to 2 metric tons (30 MPa), suitable for small laboratory pellets.
Q2: Can this press be used inside a glove box?
Yes. It is compact and glove-box compatible, but the O-ring seals should be checked to avoid oil leaks.
Q3: What sample sizes can it handle?
The press is compatible with Cell Lab die sets (common pellet diameters up to 30 mm).
Q4: Does it require electricity?
No, this is a manual press and does not require a power supply.
Q5: What maintenance is required?
Clean after each use, store in a dry environment, and inspect seals regularly.
