High-purity lithium-ion electrolyte optimised for advanced cell chemistry and laboratory-scale R&D

The Cell Lab 1M LiPF₆ Electrolyte Solution is a battery-grade lithium salt electrolyte formulated for high-performance lithium-ion battery research. It consists of 1 mol/L LiPF₆ dissolved in a ternary solvent mixture of ethylene carbonate (EC), dimethyl carbonate (DMC), and dimethoxyethane (DME) in a 5:5:3 volume ratio.

This electrolyte provides excellent ionic conductivity, low viscosity, and high electrochemical stability, making it ideal for laboratory use in coin cells, pouch cells, and prototype battery systems. Its ultra-low moisture content (≤10 ppm) ensures compatibility with sensitive cathode materials such as NCA, NMC, LFP, and LCO, delivering consistent performance and reduced side reactions.

Custom formulations—including different solvent ratios, lithium salts (LiTFSI, LiFSI), and functional additives (FEC, VC, DTD)—are available for specialised research needs.

Q1: Is this electrolyte suitable for high-voltage cathodes?
Yes. The EC/DMC/DME mixture supports stable operation with NCA, NMC, and LFP systems up to 4.4 V.

Q2: How should it be stored?
Store in a dry, inert atmosphere at temperatures below 25 °C. Keep sealed when not in use.

Q3: Can I request a different solvent ratio or lithium salt?
Yes. Custom formulations with LiTFSI, LiFSI, or alternative carbonate ratios are available upon request.

Q4: Is it compatible with solid-state or hybrid electrolytes?
Yes. It can be used as a liquid phase component in hybrid solid–liquid interface studies.

Q5: What safety precautions should I take?
Handle in a moisture-free environment (preferably in a glove box), and avoid contact with heat sources and oxidising agents.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
